YOUTH MINISTRY

But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.
Galatians 6:14

A PLACE TO BELONG

THE CRUX is as a Christ-centered community for students grades 7-12 where teens can know they belong as they learn how Jesus loves each one and how to live according to the truth of the Bible.

THE CRUX is where faith, friendship, and fun come together! There is a place for you here! We have a genuine and loving group of students and volunteer leaders that care about people, and would love to invite you into our faith journey with Jesus.

WHEN WE MEET

Visiting for first time?

Gospel Project

Sundays at 9:00 am

THE CRUX'S Sunday Morning Bible Study uses the The Gospel Project curriculum, which is a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study that takes your students on a journey through the storyline of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, to see how Christ connects with all of Scripture. Along the way, students will discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history and what it means for them.

Worship

Sunday Service: 10:00 am

Students worship together in the sanctuary on Sundays or they can sit with their families.

Wednesdays

THE CRUX meets Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (August - May).

We spend time hanging out before and after Bible study, so it’s a good time for students to connect.

ABOUT

Our Youth Ministry seeks to teach and model the gospel of Jesus Christ to students through Bible studies, discipleship, and fellowship. A place where students can know God, build relationships, and learn to make disciples locally and globally for the glory of God. We seek to partner with parents in discipling the next generation to grow in their faith and learn to live a life that exalts Jesus.
GOSPEL- CENTERED TEACHING
#
Through clear Gospel-centered teaching, students will see their need for Christ and learn how to respond to His calling on their lives. During Bible studies, we encourage youth to ask the hard questions, dig deep into His Word, and let their lives be transformed by His message of truth.
SHARED LIVES
#
We want students to be able to share their lives with one another and create space for students to build community in the church. We prioritize cultivating relationships among our youth, building friendships that we pray will last a lifetime! We want them to grow in caring, loving, and praying for one another as they grow together in their relationship with Jesus Christ!.
SERVING
#
We are responsible for developing the next generation of leaders. And the best way to develop someone is to give them opportunities coupled with encouragement and feedback. Serving and using one’s spiritual gifts must be practiced. Our students benefit from having opportunities now, from serving alongside adults who love Jesus, from experiencing the joy of serving, from knowing they are valued now – not in the future.
