SERVE

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.
Mark 10:45

Find your place. Make a difference.

Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

God's Word teaches that as a member of this church family, you are important to His work in this place. He has appointed you a gift and a purpose for being here...and you will greatly enjoy discovering and using that gift for His purposes!

What should you do with this spiritual gift? First Peter says that God wants you to be a "good manager" of His gift to you! The best way to do that is to begin now discovering, developing, and using your gift to serve the Lord and His church.

The great result of using your gift is that the entire church family ministers to each other and to the community. That's the way the church is supposed to work!

Each week at Cornerstone, many use their gifts and talents to minister to the many who walk through the doors each week. Serving also connects you more deeply to the life of the church — helping you grow in community, purpose, and spiritual maturity.

The great news? There's a place for YOU to serve! See what God can do through YOU!

FAQs

What are different ways to serve?
#
Here are a few ways to serve:
  • Events: Jump in for one-time opportunities to serve at church or in the community — from special events to outreach projects.
  • Sunday Teams: Help create a welcoming environment on Sundays through roles like greeting,  media/sound or security.
  • Ministry Teams: Join an ongoing team that supports the church body throughout the week, such as Children's & Youth Ministry, Building & Grounds, Bridge Team, Events Team, etc.
We would LOVE to have you serve in the areas where you are passionate about. Be aware that for the safety of our children, to volunteer in our Children/Youth Ministry, you must be a member for 6 months, submit to ongoing background checks, and go through a training class.
When can I join a Ministry Team?
#
You can join a team at any point throughout the year. However, our primary onboarding season happens in late summer when most teams gear up for the new ministry year. Ministry Team leaders typically ask for a one-year commitment.
