OVERVIEW

tent curtains be stretched out; do not hold back;
lengthen your ropes and drive your pegs deep.
Isaiah 54:2

After explaining the mission of the coming Messiah, God told Israel to be prepared for something big. He is about to do something amazing that will shake the whole earth, and they get to be part of the plan. Thousands of years later, it has been a privilege to watch God use Cornerstone as part of His plan to bring people back to their Savior. However, it has become evident that the work is not finished and that He is calling us to do more. Like the nation of Israel, He is calling us to Enlarge The Tent!

The first phase of this calling is for us to lengthen the ropes. The ropes of a tent are the part that extend beyond the walls of the tent into the surrounding area. By lengthening our ropes, we will extend our reach and help expand the kingdom of God.

There are five elements of Phase One that we hope to accomplish over the next few years. Our ability to progress through these five elements will depend on a number of factors. We know these are big tasks, but we also know that we serve a bigger God. A God who will provide the materials, the people, and the funds needed to lengthen our ropes and make these projects happen.

P R A Y

Pray that God will open doors to the Gospel and people will enter a coffee/ice cream shop or a softball field and have an unexpected encounter with Jesus.
Pray for the craftsman that God has prepared. In Isaiah 54:16, God tells us that He has prepared people and tools to help Enlarge the Tent. Pray that we as a church will use the gifts and talents that God has given us to expand His kingdom.
Pray about the role that God has for you and your family in making these plans a reality. Pray that God will reveal to you how to use your talents and financial blessing to lengthen the ropes and extend your reach to the area around you.

G I V E

Starting November 19, 2022, you will have the opportunity to invest in these future plans by kickstarting our Lengthen the Ropes Capital Campaign. These initial gifts can help get these projects started, fund equipment, and reduce the amount of our loan.

Your tax deductible contributions may be made via check, cash, money order or credit card. If giving online, in-person, or via mail, please designate funds towards the "Lengthen The Ropes Campaign."

COMMITMENT SUNDAY: February 12, 2023

Pledge cards will be distributed prior to Commitment Sunday. These cards will offer suggested giving levels, help you see how significant each commitment can be, and allow us to gauge the speed at which we can accomplish the different elements of Phase One.

Your pledge commitment may be fulfilled over a two-year period. Our prayer is that your passion to see God's kingdom expand will be expressed in your sacrificial giving without diminishing your tithes and offerings.
