If you have reached your 45th birthday and have matured to the point that you enjoy fellowship with other mature saints, then the JOY group is just for you! If you like to share with others your life's journey toward spiritual maturity with Jesus as your travel guide, then come visit with us. The price of admission is pictures of your grandchildren.

The source of joy is summarized beautifully in Nehemiah chapter 8, verses 10 and 12. After the rebuilding of the Jerusalem wall was completed, Nehemiah and Ezra the priest gathered the people together, and they praised God and shared His Word. Then they told the people to "earth the fat, drink the sweet and to send portions to those whom nothing is prepared" (the first holy potluck).

Then they told people, "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength" (verse 10). "And the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words (God's words) that were declared to them" (verse 12).

Yes, that's what we do. We share food, our lives and God's word with one another.

Don't think of the JOY group as an "either /or" opportunity. If you are in any other Life Group don't let that hinder you from assembling with your mature brothers and sisters.
